Tim Higgins is a partner in the law firm of Powers & Santola, LLP. His practice is limited to the representation of serious and catastrophically injured individuals, the field of law in which he has practiced since being admitted to the bar. Before beginning his legal career, Tim had a long career as a news reporter and sports broadcaster with several local radio stations. In 1991, Tim left the newsroom at WGY (810 AM) Radio, and began his studies at Albany Law School.
Tim is regularly called upon by various bar associations and groups to lecture to other lawyers, on topics ranging from The Basics of Discovery in New York to Trying an Auto Crash Case to Demonstrative Evidence for Television Generation Jurors.
Tim is a member of the Albany County Bar Association, which honored him with its 1999 President's Award in appreciation for his services and commitment to the Association. Tim is a member of the Board of Directors of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association, is a Charter Member of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and is also a member of the Saratoga County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
